What Does the Test Measure?

The Flash Number Test challenges your ability to pay attention to briefly presented information and remember it for a short period of time. It is similar in principle to short-term memory tasks, although this online test uses its own scoring method.

How Does the Test Work?

You will see a series of four-digit numbers, one at a time. Each number appears briefly before the next one is shown.

After the sequence finishes, enter a number you remember seeing. You pass the round by entering any number that appeared in the sequence.

What Does Your Score Mean?

Your score is your success rate—the percentage of rounds in which you correctly remembered one of the numbers shown.

There is no universal average for this custom test. Your score is most useful for comparing your own performance across attempts.
